Welcome to our first newsletter of 2010

The kids have gone back to school, and the January tourists have emptied their wallets and gone home.

Now is the time to prepare for a great 2010.

Website:

We have updated our website at radiobayfm.com.au with some new features.

We have added a new Forum section where visitors can express their opinions on local, national or international matters. On the Forum page we also conduct polls on various issues. Over January our Poll to gather opinions on the installation of the new Nelson Bay pedestrian traffic lights resulted in 516 votes, with 78% of those voting saying “Terrible idea – Rip them out”.

There is also now a free Classifieds page, and we have entered into affiliate programs with Amazon and Fishpond.

Through these affiliations visitors are able to purchase CDs of the “music they grew up with” through our Online Music Store.

Programs:

We welcome a new announcer to Bay FM. Rod Poynter can be heard from 1pm to 6pm on weekday afternoons and on Sundays from 12noon to 6pm.

Advertising:

Are you struggling to attract enough customers?

You know there must be a better, more successful way to attract the customers you want and would happily do it if you just knew what it was!

With tightening household budgets, businesses today need to encourage consumers to purchase, not only through excellence of service, but also by way of incentives.

Figures show that 76% of the United States population uses coupons, across all age groups:

And this trend is growing in Australia. A recent story on A Current Affair detailed how Australian family budgets are often stretched to the limit and how many are turning to Coupons in an endeavour to save money. Retailers and businesses participating in coupon promotion also told of the increased business attributed to the growing use of consumer coupons.

Now using a combination of direct-mail incentive coupons AND radio advertising, businesses can increase their share of Port Stephens’ household budgets, by directly enticing customers to their business.

And remember, every customer who contacts your business represents amazing opportunities… an opportunity to make a sale and an opportunity to build a relationship that will keep them coming back time and time again.

Bookings are now open for our next Super Savers Coupons which will be distributed in April/May, and with this package limited to 16 non-competing clients it will close out quickly.

Visit our Advertising Page to find out more… You can also download a sample of a previous Super Savers leaflet.

You’ll be surprised at how cost effective this package is… contact Bay FM Sales today on 4984 4673.
